Are there any harmful ingredients in CorrosionX?
Not in the quantities used. It is one of the safest products of its kind. The SDS addresses this question where corporate and military concerns exist.
Can CorrosionX be sprayed inside electric motors?
Yes. CorrosionX is a great lube for motors but use caution in getting it on carbon brushes. Noisy fans are a great place for CorrosionX. Spray it on the shafts and bearings (if accessible).
Can CorrosionX be used on Air Conditioning equipment?
Definitely. It’s good for electrical connections and cooling fins on the coils. In fact, it is recommended by York and used by them.
Can I apply MaxWax over rust?
Yes, but only surface rust, not loose flakes. Flakes falling off would take the coating with it and exposed rusted areas beneath. MAxWax does penetrate a bit, but not as far or as fast as CorrosionX . Neither is it meant to.
Can I use CorrosionX in locks and padlocks?

Can I use the products on circuit boards?
Circuit boards are a great place to apply CorrosionX . If they are corroded or have moisture causing problems, CorrosionX usually restores them.

Can you paint over CorrosionX?
No, it must be removed which isn’t easy because of polar bonding. A good solvent or “stream jenny” (if a large area is involved) is required. MEK is the best remover but use with caution because it is a carcinogen and will remove paint. Acetone is also a good choice
Does CorrosionX leave a sticky residue?
Not sticky but slightly oily. The CorrosionX film is more like very light grease.
